Agriculture is typically considered a safe, low-risk investment that can provide reliable returns and can be an excellent safety net for your financial future. However, all investments have some risks. In farming, there are risks with the weather, crop diseases, drought, and almond prices. However, most of the risks are covered under the crop insurance except almond prices as they can vary depending on the supply and demand every year. The investments and returns are not guaranteed and can fluctuate based on market conditions.
Subsidized Federal crop insurance programs provides coverage levels from 50 to 75% of the approved yield. If crops are destroyed due to natural causes(adverse weather conditions,earthquake,fire etc), the farmer still receives funds from the insurance so that investors can still collect their annual returns.
Yearly distributions are made at the end of the year usually in December. K-1 tax documents are issued in April and investors can take tax benefits. Please consult your CPA since everyone's financial situation is unique.
We charge a very nominal fee of 8-10% of the annual gross revenue or a flat cost for larger deals. This fee not only covers the farm management but the entire business operations including acquisition, financial, accounting, and corporation management.
Yes. Self Directed IRA (SDIRA) provides greater opportunity for asset diversification outside of the traditional stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. (No tax penalty on rollover).
You can set up an account at a Self-Directed IRA custodian of your choice. Rollover IRA funds into SDIRA account without any tax penalties. Afterward, you can own/Invest in any real estate asset and investment will grow on a tax-deferred basis. All funds will only flow between SDIRA account as per IRS guidelines.

The investment depends on the specific deal, farm acreage and number of investors. Usually, the investment can range from $50K-$150K per person. There is also flexibility for members to pool in and create sub-LLCs which could be considered as one part. You will join us as a partner and will enjoy all benefits along with making major decisions.
We have great relationships with various lenders who specializes in agriculture financing. The interest rate is usually between 4-5% and is amortized over 20 years. There are various payment options like monthly/quarterly/semi-annually and yearly.
Yes. There is a 3 years lock period. You are free to resell your investment after that period. The funds will be returned to you including any appreciation of the farm value at that time.
About 80% of the world's almonds are grown in California USA. There are several benefits to investing in almond farms.
